Your whiter, more brilliant smile is no longer just a dream! Porcelain veneers are a form of conservative cosmetic dentistry that make a dramatic difference in the appearance of your teeth. If you have chipped teeth, crooked teeth, spaces between your teeth, or dull, stained teeth, veneers may be the perfect solution for you. After minimal tooth preparation, Dr. LoSasso will skillfully bond and shape thin films of porcelain to your teeth, creating a straight, brilliant smile that enhances your appearance and your self esteem. You are only a couple of appointments away from having the smile you have always wanted!
You may be quite happy with the size and alignment of your teeth; however, time may have dulled or yellowed their surfaces. Dr. LoSasso offers several tooth whitening programs, including at-home treatments and professional, in-office treatments. A brilliant smile may be as close as a single treatment away and is an affordable method of enhancing your entire appearance.
The Zoom!™ tooth whitening system is a powerful, in-office procedure that produces fast, dramatic results. Dr. LoSasso will apply a specialized gel to your teeth using a customized tray similar to a mouthpiece. The tray is comfortable, allowing you to hold it in place for about an hour. During that time, a specialized light source interacts with the gel to break-up even the strongest stains and discolorations. By the end of your appointment, you will have a smile that looks like it did years ago!
Also available is the Zoom!™ take-home whitening kit. This do-it-yourself process can be completed in a weekend, and while the results are not as dramatic as the in-office procedure, you will still see noticeable, fantastic results. Talk with Dr. LoSasso for help in deciding which whitening procedure is right for you.
Your smile’s appearance can affect your self-confidence and the way you live your life. When teeth are missing, your smile undergoes significant changes. Missing teeth cause you to chew differently and may even cause mouth pain. As your remaining teeth work to compensate for the loss, gaps and spaces form that only make the situation worse. A porcelain bridge, custom designed by Dr. LoSasso, will keep your smile aligned and your bite functional. Bridges are anchored to existing teeth or crowns on either side of the missing tooth. They are semi-permanent, meaning they can only be affixed or removed by Dr. LoSasso and are a long-term, restorative solution to your damaged smile.
Your teeth undergo a tremendous amount of wear and tear during your lifetime. Teeth may show this wear in a variety of ways, including discoloration, chipping, and cracking. Crowns can be made of porcelain throughout, porcelain pressed to metal, or precious metals, and crowns made of precious metal are also an option. After some preparation of the tooth or teeth that will receive the crown(s), Dr. LoSasso will position a custom-milled porcelain crown over your damaged tooth, restoring your smile to its once-brilliant condition and rejuvenating your oral health.
You can now beautify your smile with natural-looking, tooth-colored fillings. When the decay has been taken out of the tooth, it is replaced with “filling” material. In the past, amalgam (silver) fillings were placed into the cleaned out portion of the tooth, but with advancements in dentistry, you can now have tooth-colored fillings instead of silver fillings. You may even elect to remove your old silver fillings in favor of new, undetectable tooth-colored ones.
Bonding is a tooth-colored material applied and adhered to the surface of your tooth without reducing the structure of the tooth, in most cases. The material is then sculpted to create a natural-looking tooth. Bonding corrects chipped and broken teeth, discolored teeth, and in some cases, gaps. It is less expensive than veneers but doesn’t last as long and can stain. A benefit of bonding is that generally, the natural structure of the tooth can be maintained.
